If fish owning is not something that you have done before then I would never go out and waste all of your money on buying really expensive fish along with the tanks. Going and spending a lot of money on a tank is likely to set you back perhaps hundreds of pounds which is never good, this is without even looking into some of the fish you are buying.

If you have never had a fish before then I would always actually go after a goldfish.

If fish is something that you have bought in the past and you have really enjoyed having them as pets then start to go after the big boys now because you know how to care for them, they will give you far more rewards too which is always a good thing. When it comes to things like this you need to worry about the fish tank ornaments and aquarium plants as much as anything else so make sure that you realise this because it is very important indeed.

Once you have the tank set up it is important to note that you need to get fish that get along with each other. I remember once we had a couple that just started eating all of the others even though they weren’t supposed to and as each fish was being eaten we were essentially throwing the pounds away.
